Marketing Director
Marketing Director is a new key position at Medix Biochemica, looking for a lead in global marketing.
As a Marketing Director at Medix Biochemica you will lead global marketing strategy, operating model, and governance for the company’s comprehensive portfolio of high-quality biological raw materials used in diagnostic assay development. This role drives brand leadership, portfolio growth, and customer engagement across antibodies, antigens, enzymes, and other mission critical IVD components. The position requires a strong scientific foundation, commercial acumen, and the ability to translate Medix Biochemica’s unique strengths — quality, reliability, and global manufacturing excellence — into compelling market value.

As a Marketing Director, Medix Biochemica, your key responsibilities are:
1. Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute global marketing strategies that strengthen Medix Biochemica’s position as a trusted partner for IVD manufacturers.
Define and evolve the global marketing operating model, including planning cadence, prioritization frameworks, KPI governance, and cross-functional alignment with Sales, Product Management and Commercial Operations.
2. Market & Customer Insight
Analyze global trends and translate into targeted marketing approaches.
Monitor competitive landscapes across raw materials, recombinant technologies, and specialty reagents.
Develop and maintain customer segmentation and category frameworks aligning with customer hierarchy structure to guide targeted campaigns, account-based marketing efforts and resource prioritization.
3. Product Marketing
Drive launch strategies for new antibodies, antigens, enzymes, and recombinant products developed across Medix Biochemica’s global sites.
Lead the team to create high-quality technical marketing materials: datasheets, application notes, validation summaries, white papers, and digital content in collaboration with Product management.
Ensure all product claims and materials meet regulatory and quality expectations (e.g. ISO 13485, IVDR-related requirements for raw materials).
Collaborate with R&D and product management to translate performance data into clear, differentiated value propositions.
4. Commercial Enablement
Partner closely with Sales and Business Development to support OEM conversions, technical evaluations, and customer onboarding.
Define and track marketing KPIs aligned to commercial objectives, including opportunity pipeline contribution, revenue growth by product line, marketing ROI and customer retention.
5. Cross Functional Collaboration
Working together with product management on market research, market intelligence and market justification for investments in new technologies, manufacturing capabilities, digital tools, and strategic partnerships to support scalability and long-term growth.
Support commercial team with value proposition and global key account marketing strategy and targeted messaging.
6. Leadership & Team Development
Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing global marketing team with clear role ownership, and strong cross-functional interfaces.
Manage external agencies, scientific writers, and digital partners.
Foster a culture of scientific excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
Lead by example and drive change.
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related field.
Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) is desired due to the technical nature of the portfolio.
8+ years in IVD components, biological reagents, or life science tools B2B marketing.
Proven success in B2B technical marketing and OEM relationship management.
Desired:
MBA is desired.
Strong understanding of antibody/antigen development, recombinant technologies, and diagnostic assay workflows is desirable.
Experience working in ISO 13485 or similar regulated environments.
Skills
Strong experience in content and digital marketing tools.
Ability to translate complex biochemical data into compelling commercial messaging.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
Excellent communication and scientific storytelling.
Leadership experience in global, cross-functional teams.
Comfort operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Willing to travel ~25% including overnight (both domestically and internationally).
