Planner Scheduler

The Planner Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and organizing tasks, resources, and timelines. This position requires meticulous planning, effective communication, and adept problem-solving skills. The Planner Scheduler facilitates collaboration between different teams, manages schedules, and maintains true understanding of resource allocation needed to meet project objectives and timelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, dependencies, and resource requirements to ensure alignment with deadlines
- Communicate professionally with customers to provide order and pricing confirmations, updates on deliverables, and other information as needed in the form of email and virtual meetings
- Maintain organized and updated site production schedule along with corresponding orders in ERP system
- Communicate collaboratively with internal team members to ensure personnel, equipment, and resources are available and allocated effectively based on overall business needs
- Identify potential risks/obstacles and develop mitigation strategies to proactively address challenges that may impact timelines, desired volumes, or quality
- Work closely with Product Manager and commercial team to ensure production schedule aligns with anticipated forecasts, provide thorough and timely updates as needed
- Work closely with Operations to ensure raw materials for projects are readily available and forecasted annually based on current and anticipated orders
- Maintain electronic and physical files in an organized and accessible manner to include updating information, archiving files no longer needed on a regular basis, and creating new filing systems as needed
- Contribute to On-Time Delivery objectives for site
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Qualifications
Proven experience in planning, scheduling, or coordination, preferably in a relevant industry. The individual must be self-motivated, hardworking, and willing to put in extra effort to go above and beyond the minimum requirements.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field. 5 years experience with project management, coordination, planning, scheduling, and similar responsibilities strongly recommended.

The employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, lab coat, safety glasses, or other equipment as necessary in certain areas of the premises.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to learn, understand, and manage complex elements of various projects. Ability to collect and organize data effectively.
Communication Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical terms and definitions. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Ability to communicate information effectively with team members.
Math Ability
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills
Ability to use the Microsoft® Office suite of programs, Adobe Acrobat, and other office and scientific software. Ability to graph or track data produced during typical manufacturing procedures. Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project is preferred. General efficiency at using computers are learning additional programs, including Netsuite, as needed.
