Summary
This position will be approximately 20 hours per week in Quality Assurance and 20 hours per week in Analytical.
Quality Assurance Specialist I is responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Department in maintaining the company’s quality system, while continually improving.
Analytical Chemist Level I is responsible for generating and interpreting routine analytical data for final product release, product stability and raw materials testing. Additionally, this position may require providing assistance in analytical assay development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Quality Assurance)
1. Documentation review for GDP
2. Receiving and releasing of products and materials.
3. Reorganizing files and folders.
4. Scanning documents.
5. Drafting documents and reports.
6. Assist in maintaining records and logs.
7. Assisting QA with additional functions as required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Analytical)
1. Perform routine analytical testing and analysis.
2. Assist in analytical assay development as needed.
3. Responsible for following all current SOPs.
4. Responsible for updating and maintaining written protocols for testing procedures.
5. Responsible for maintaining notebook as needed.
6. Responsible for calibration and maintenance of analytical equipment as needed.
7. Responsible for maintaining inventory of supplies and reagents as needed.
Qualifications
The individual must be a self-motivated hard-working person, willing to put in some extra effort to go above and beyond what is asked of them. Required traits include detail-orientation, good time-management and organizational skills.
Prefer 2 years of previous experience in an analytical or manufacturing laboratory
Education/Experience
Minimum undergraduate Bachelor Degree in a lab science or minimum four years of experience in relevant field.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office package and should be a fast and efficient general computer user, being able to learn additional programs as needed.
Math Ability
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals (simple amounts such as discounts, percentages, volumes and conversion factors). Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
