Donor Coordinator

Summary
The Donor Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Biologicals Department by managing all aspects of human donor engagement and biological material collection. This position is responsible for coordinating donor communications and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who can innovate new donor recruitment strategies, maintain detailed records, and foster strong relationships with donors. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. The ability to learn and adhere to IRB/HIPAA processes and handle sensitive information with discretion is essential.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage all human donor activities and communications.
- Coordination and collection of biological materials
- Management of donation drop off and pickup scheduling
- Facilitate the new donor application and onboarding process
- Organize and track viral testing for donors and potential donors.
- Ensure timely payment of donors
- Provide guidance to donors regarding protocols and collection procedures.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow and expand the donor program.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for donor recruitment and engagement.
- Innovate and develop new approaches to attract and retain donors, including digital outreach and community partnerships.
- Demonstrates excellent project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks based on evolving business needs.
- Travel between donor centers and affiliated sites as needed
- Understand and follows necessary standards and guidelines (HIPAA, ISO, FDA, DOT, etc.)
- Ensures management is informed of deadlines and issues
- Help with general tasks within the department
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols
Qualifications

Education/Experience
Certificate or Associate’s Degree (AS/AA) from a college or university; and up to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
