Logistics Associate

Summary
Responsible for key duties within the Logistics Department such as receiving inbound materials, packaging customer orders, and assisting with other warehouse functions. Additional involvement in inventory, cycle counts, freight loads, and parcel shipping.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Take direction from the Logistics Supervisor and be able to operate with little to no direction after training.
- Receive all Inbound materials in NetSuite with little to no supervision, placing material in proper temperature-controlled areas, ensuring that all acceptance criteria is met.
- Assist in performing shipping documentation order reviews for outbound shipments.
- Perform label reviews for order picks.
- Package all customer outgoing orders meeting proper temperature requirements and including all necessary documentation for international and domestic shipping.
- Perform material inventory picks.
- Maintain/requisition packaging/lab supply inventory. (KANBAN foam coolers, Enviro coolers, FedEx and various packaging supplies)
- Create RMA/FMA change orders in QCBD if/when needed.
- Generate NCR/Deviations in NetSuite if materials are delivered out of specification.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining Raw and Intermediate inventory levels.
- Handle inbound FedEx communications and parcel tracking.
- Lead in monthly cycle counts.
- Assist in coordination of ordering and deliveries of animal tissue, while maintaining stock levels as well.
- Operate Big Joe electric and manual pallet jacks.
- Perform bimonthly Stericycle Waste collection.
- Responsible for monthly Hazardous Waste Lab Pack collection.
- Create and set up BOL’s for outbound freight loads.
- Act as a subject matter expert for 1 or more logistics SOPs.
- Understands and follows necessary standards and guidelines (ISO, FDA, DOT, etc.).
- General warehousing/housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follows all safety protocols.
- Assisting Logistics with additional functions as required.
Other Duties
Communicates on behalf of management with parties as needed to help facilitate day-to-day business matters. Completes documentation on human biological donor program when needed. Other duties may be assigned.

The ability to logically look at an issue, analyze, interpret and take relevant and accurate action towards a solution. Education/Experience
Certificate or Associate’s Degree (AS/AA) from a college or university; and up to 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
